I always get asked from men i give my number to: what type of man are you usually into. Of course i give them some generic answer like “someone who’s down to earth, someone i can be myself around. Although, that's true I never give them the full breakdown. For me my ideal companion would be:
  • Tall
  • Nice smile
  • Funny
  • Nerdy
  • Fiscally responsible
  • Has his own place
  • Supportive
  • Confident
  • Great in bed
  • Honest
  • Resourceful
  • Kind
  • Fun
  • Adventurous
  • Strong
No particular ethnicity, but personally I love it when a man isn't big on social media as well. In so many words "The Unicorn". I'd like to meet this Unicorn man somewhere classic, like the produce department at Vons. I’d be shopping for cantaloupe, and because the produce aisles are so small, he bumps into my basket on accident and i’d say something witty or cute that sparks conversation. We’d exchange phone numbers, find that we have so much in common through talking on the phone and texting all week until our first date and the rest is history. Like myself, so many people have  high, unrealistic expectations for their ideal companion, which is maybe why so many of us are single. How many you ask? 56% of Los Angeles is single. Us as millenials have a habit of comparing ourselves to our parents and grandparents generation. How people met one another 50 years ago, HELL 20 years ago, was completely different in comparison to today. Back in those days people met at places in their communities like church, school, or even the Vons grocery store. Their options were extremely limited. In 2019 there are so many options, more forms of communication, socially acceptable to be single in our 30’s therefore we have options, and CAN be just a tad unrealistic with our bae goals!  We need to just accept that it's okay to be single or maybe accept that the man or woman of our dreams will remain JUST THAT, in our dreams. I was always taught by my Mother to “never settle” and in this century we don't have to.
